15.3 Appendix Quarter Horse
I thought Jean Martin was a great person for letting us have Wally, but when she called me a couple weeks later and offered me Reggie it solidified that we were BFFs! Reggie’s mom is in college and was looking for a safe place for Reggie to stay for a time that he would get the love and attention he deserved. We are very grateful that they thought of Cedar Lodge. Reggie is definitely in the “been there, done that.” category. He can go hop around a 2’6” course, (he LOVES equitation!), pack the 2’0 around and slow down for a timid cross railer just learning the ropes. He is a HUGE favorite at Cedar Lodge. Everyone loves Reggie because he just goes and does his job. Period. He is a true professional.
Reggie and Brittany at RegionalsWhen Reggie first came in, it took him a bit of time to adjust to life as a Cedar Lodge horse, but not I can honestly say that he loves it. He troops in every morning, eats his grain and takes a siesta (including a bit of snoring) before anyone comes out to ride and I see him gallop out in the afternoon to be with his best bud Hal. Reggie is a favorite in the middle to upper level jumping classes and popular at all IEA and IHSA horse shows. Thank you so much Judy and for trusting us with your precious family member. We hope he will be here for years to come.
