Levi’s owner is one of our many year alumni and when Erin first sent me pictures of her new horse, I was dubious. Levi is pretty large and high headed and he can have a bit of a drama queen in him. That being said, a bit over one year in and I’m hooked. Levi has shown himself to be a solid citizen for riders 2’0 up to 3’9. He is a popular mount for both IEA and IHSA seasoned riders and has both served as horse show mount in the equitation and jumper divisions for us, and an excellent clinic horse. I would probably be happy enough to end the conversation there, but in 2019 we have started using Levi for canter vaulting and he is excelling quickly. Not only that, his vaulting work has proved a great partner for his jumping work and he is quickly improving on all fronts. We hope to have Levi (who came in as a loan) for many years to come and I suspect that we would very sad if he ever had to leave.
