If I was to guess about Gus’s background, I would say he came from a loving but neglectful home that allowed Gus to do what Gus wanted to do. He was in good shape and mindful of what we wanted him to do, but it was clear that Gus was use to getting his way and felt with a little fuss we might give in to his whims. That has not been the case since he has come to Cedar Lodge, and though a bit amazed, Gus seems to be adjusting well. He loves Fiona and is dedicated to her faithfully. We hope that Gus will make a great beginner, developing canter horse. He has a smooth trot and a wonderful canter. I see cross rails in his future.
